Acting General Manager/Asset & Engineering Manager
Stephen is a professional engineer who enjoys working collaboratively to solve technical, environmental and business problems.
He joined Wellington Cable Car in 2014 and has held a range of roles. He has recently been appointed to the Acting General Manager role and therefore has overview of the whole business. He works with staff, contractors and key stakeholders to maintain and improve the organisation and its assets, with a focus on improving systems, processes and practices to enhance the customer experience.
Before joining Wellington Cable Car he was a Country Manager for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), a US organisation delivering research programmes to the electricity industry around the world.
Combining his technical and relationship management skills to get the best outcome is what he finds most rewarding.
Outside of work Stephen has an eclectic range of interests, he was once a kayaker, marathon runner and PlayCentre Dad, but more recently he likes to read, drink coffee and ride an ebike.
Passenger Services Manager
Matthew is the Passenger Services Manager at the Cable Car and has been with the company since 2007. Previously he held management and supervisory positions at Tranzit, Hertz and Go-Ahead London and has been in the transport industry for 30 years.
Chief Financial Officer
Bruce is Wellington born and bred and acts as the Chief Financial Officer at Wellington Cable Car, leading the small but efficient finance team as well as having a wider involvement in the information technology area of the business and legal matters.
Bruce has been with Wellington Cable Car since 2010 whilst still operating and managing a Chartered Accountancy firm in Lower Hutt. For his sins, Bruce has been in the accountancy/tax field for over 17 years having previously worked at Deloitte for 12 years specialising in Corporate Tax. Prior to this he studied at Victoria University where he completed both a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration and a law degree.
Bruce also has a passion for information technology having worked in the industry previously and also likes to tinker with new products and technologies, and also computer games when time permits!
RLM, EST, BGG, BOAD
Andrew is responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance of the plant, equipment, structures and buildings owned by Wellington Cable Car Limited.
He has lived in Wellington since 1979 and has worked in the electrical sector since 1984. He is a registered Line Mechanic and Electrical Service Technician; skills which have proven invaluable within his current role.
Digital Marketing Coordinator
April works with the Passenger Service Manager to devise, implement and evaluate the Cable Car's digital marketing plan. She builds and executes social media strategies and campaigns and plans events. Working closely with WellingtonNZ, her aim is to make the Cable Car and Wellington wildly famous!
Ann manages the day to day office routines at WCCL.
