Do you like to doodle? We are in the market for some cute illustrations of us and need your help. We love seeing around Pōneke artwork of our little cars and how differently everyone captures their historic and iconic beauty. We want to reach out to our community to offer the opportunity to be a part of the icon and provide a platform for your incredible talent.
To enter for consideration, we would love for you to create in your own style, two illustrations:
- The iconic view of the cable car climbing up the hill.
- Open entry of what you love the most about the cable car (this could be the tunnel lights, dogs, rainbows, the cable, etc).
Entries open Friday, 10 October and close Sunday, 26 October.

To celebrate the twenty-year anniversary of the release of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Wētā Workshop has delved into the archives and dusted off some of their most precious props, costumes, and armour from the original films.
Take yourself on a journey through Middle-Earth, Wellington to find some of the iconic pieces starting with our third-aged elf and Royal Guard of Rohan located in the Kelburn terminal.
